The Portrait and Purity Painted with Brush and Ink by Yang O-hsi

Ms. Yang O-hsi is known for her unique and astonishing Birds and Flowers paintings. Since her first human portrait was sold at age 10, she has devoted herself to create and develop art for more than 60 years.  Ms. Yang is known as a modern Chinese Ink Art impressionist, and her work is filled with joy and peace found within the vivid images of nature.

On May 23, 2015, Ms. Yang is opening another solo exhibition, The Portrait and Purity Painted with Brush and Ink by Yang O-hsi, at National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. Besides showing over a hundred new paintings, two grand sizes paintings, The Return of Colorful Spring and Forever Young, 200 cm by 500 cm, will also be presented in this exhibit. 

         花鳥國畫大師楊鄂西畫風雍榮雅緻，深受張大千大師賞識。

         其畫融合中西畫的技巧，畫作散發著無可抵擋的魅力與動感，畫中之鳥蟲各物充滿靈氣，如夢似真，七十載未中斷其藝術創作，展覽遍及美、澳、日、東南亞，深受學生及喜愛者的仰慕與追隨。

         已出版畫集、清代花鳥畫研究、寫意花鳥畫法中、英、日版、百花畫譜中、英版、百鳥畫譜中、英版、中國畫入門日文版、畫小鳥中、英文版、珍禽圖等十餘種著作，其著作更已暢銷廣至歐、美及鄰近日本等國，並發行10 餘套教學DVD。

       The well respected Flower and Bird painting artist, Yang O-hsi, is known for her rich and elegant style. Her paintings impressed the Chinese Master Painter Zhang Daqian and earned her very high praise.

       Her paintings are playful, vivid and witty. She has devoted herself to painting for over seven decades, and has had numerous exhibits in America, Australia, Japan, Taiwan and Southeast Asia. Her work is also collected by many art lovers and organizations.
