舞動花鳥之姿  相邀國父紀念館 8.25.2015 - 9.8.2015

        楊鄂西教授自小即在書畫的世界裡成長，以中國水墨畫為其技法的深厚底蘊，以西方藝術色彩編織精彩的視覺美學，每幅作品皆融會中西的藝術精髓，展其根也揚其枝葉，飛舞花鳥之餘，楊教授藉由每一揮每一毫，呈現出藝術與人文之間的密不可分，交互繫絆而來的價值是那麼地繽紛和感動人心。

           楊教授向來不排斥吸收更多新知，因喜愛電影、舞台劇和攝影，常將其轉化為創作靈感，風格跳脫以往世人對水墨畫的認識，這與楊教授欣賞張藝謀導演的作品和經典踢踏舞台劇「火焰之舞」息息相關，淋漓盡致地運用色彩，打破水墨畫的黑白框架但保留其優雅的線條，相互結合之下，其氣勢神韻挑撥著觀者的心弦。

           就如同其作品所展現的活力，楊教授認為藝術繪畫應具有氣韻，才得以讓觀者有感、受其深動。此次在國父紀念館中展出的作品有別於歷年來的創作，尤以白花系列作品為例，自創的「乾式潑粉」繪畫技法，於複雜豐富的填色背景之中，烘托出花鳥的雅韻，點綴出源源不絕的生命力。

        Ms. Yang O-hsi grew up surrounded by art. She received both of the traditional Chinese and the classic European painting training. Her paintings appeal to the spirit of Asian and European art, and combine the traditional and modern Chinese impressionist style. Through each stroke, her paintings present the concept of humanity and art, and deeply impress the viewers.

        Films, opera and photography have influenced Ms. Yang’s new art. She converts the energy of the performance to her own creativity, and brings it into her paintings. Ms. Yang appreciates the Chinese Director Zhang Yimou’s works, and also was inspired by the film, Feet of Flames. She applies rich colors to her flowers and birds, and dyes the thin rice papers multiple times with special techniques to create the misty effects in her paintings. Moreover, her paintings preserve the graceful and classic style of calligraphy. The astonishing atmosphere and splendid images in her paintings flow into the viewers’ mind, and bring them joy, comfort and peace.

        The exhibition at the National Sun Yat-sun Memorial Hall from 8/25/2015 to 9/8/2015 showcases Ms. Yang’s elegant paintings and her special painting technique of "dry spraying.” This exhibition especially displays Ms. Yang’s stylish white flower paintings in contrast to the varied and colorful background, and which also accompanies the powerful vitality. The Curator of the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, Lin Kao-chang, and exhibition artist, Yang O-hsi, cordially invite you to visit the artist’s second large exhibition in 2015 - “Regal.”
