“不擇手段”是一件評論對於完美概念的作品，無論是既成的概念或者是對究往的認知。有個堪稱美完美的工作、健碩身形、美滿的婚姻、 精彩生活…等等，都一再地消弱我們的心智。我們不斷地產生期待，大部份是脫離現實的，然後讓自己接受考驗卻又常常用傷身的方式，試圖接近所謂的“完美”。 ( 文 / Joshua Balgos)

關渡美術館「POWER SHOWS」系列隆重推出紐約藝術家Joshua Balgos的最新作品— Whatever it takes，Joshua的作品大都以視覺影像介面來探討身份主體和文化認同，這次在關渡美術館展出的作品延續了以往創作風格，探討對完美形像的體認和觀點，作品將以大小不同的螢幕放映呈現，關渡美術館邀請你來參觀他的最新作品。

“Whatever it takes” is a piece that comments on a person’s strive to perfection, whether it is self placed or perceived. Having the perfect job, the perfect physique, the perfect marriage, the perfect life…consumes our minds. We consistently place expectations, most times unrealistic, that we then put ourselves through these rigorous and oftentimes harmful regimens to achieve this “perfection.”

The KdMoFA will show the artist Joshua Balgos’s latest art piece.“Whatever it takes”.Joshua，who is from N EW YORK, is a film & video artist who’s work navigates around themes of nationality, identity& cultural perception.
