我讓它陷入我的意識，任它逐漸填滿了記憶。
林冠名2008年個展——《無影》，將在
媒體的再製與共享是資訊時代潮流衝破菁英與宰制的雙面刀，一面切斷溝通的阻礙，順暢溝通管道；另一面卻體現訊息複製的簡易與便利性，對經驗過程「一次性」的濫觴；所以事情到頭來變得越來越可以假他人之經驗來印證一些思考，但我們卻容易遺忘過程的一去不復返。而此「一次性」則是林冠名《無影》個展的創作探討主軸。此次《無影》個展，藝術家除了處理對影像既有的詮釋之外，並嘗試將「影像」視為因「光」的運動所形成的物理結果來處理與「影像」的關係，藉此來回應他對於這「一次性」所理解的狀態。
The Aki Gallery is proud to present two-dimension poet—Lin Guan-Ming’s first solo exhibition, Shadowless this September. This time, the poet changes into a musician. He shoots documentary films and plays with light and shadow, imagining that our shared experiences are the notes of a beautiful melody played by each of us as part of the human emotional matrix.
In this information-sharing and elite-control? society, the ease of reproduction can be a double-edged blade: on the one hand, cutting away communication barriers; on the other hand, severing the unique from its 'one time only' quality. The communication process of copying, saving, and reproducing experienced by communicators is impossible to be copied, saved and reproduced. This 'one time only' occurrence is the essence of the artist's works.
Shadowless is not only the artist's explanation of normal images of light and shadow, but also his presentation of light as movement without shadow. Because blocking light makes shadow, the idea of ”Shadowless” is created. No matter that 'shadowless' is without image or shadow, artist Lin Guan-Ming uses the relationship between light, space and sound to interpret the 'one time only' experience.
