YuFen 沈玉芬的作品有寫實也有抽象夢境。寫實作品以靜物、風景與人物為主，真實地呈獻生活中的點滴。畫中帶有詩意的氛圍，一如畫者寫的詩，輕輕地透露生命中有時壓抑有時瀟灑的色彩。

大學畢業之後就離開台灣的她，去過很多國家，曾經與多位藝術家交流習畫，她的內心深處仍然保有來自台灣傳統女性的內歛與沉靜自持，這深植於她心中的個性，即使在她的靜物作品也流淌出東方女性才有的故事性與色彩。新作美人系列則是她近幾年聽到的故事寫的詩帶來的靈感，腦海開始跳躍出各種想法，訴說每個女人心底都藏著浪漫的夢境，展示她追逐一生的夢想。

Yu-Fen Shen’s art has both realistic and surreal dreamscape elements, the former focused on still life, landscapes and individual portraits, portraying a snapshot of life’s moments. As a poetic aesthete, Yu-Fen Shen lightly colors her painting accordingly, revealing how life can be at times oppressive and lighthearted. 
Since graduating and leaving Taiwan, as Yu-Fen traveled to a number of countries, she has exchanged ideas with a number of artists. But she still has deep down the internal resilience and quite self-resolve of a traditional Taiwanese woman. While deeply rooted within her centered individuality, she nonetheless uses tradition and color in her still life work from an eastern and feminine aesthetic. From the more recent years, the Beauty Series harkens to a traditional poetic spirit, with various thoughts beginning to leap from the mind, informing the romantic dreamscape ensconced within a woman’s heart, displaying a lifetime’s pursuit of a dream.
