Color accompanied by sound, and sound seems to lead to touch. The term "Synesthesia" refers to this neurophysical phenomenon. Five senses interact, linking shape, number, etc., with taste, or sound together. On Aug. 2 (Sat.) AKI Gallery will have a grand introduction to three Japanese and Chinese representative artists Machida Kumi, Soya Asae and Liang Gu. Through vision arouses the feelings of nose, mouth, ears and body, intrinsic ripples awaken by five senses intertwined will be the most realistic view of the works.

Liang Gu’s watercolor works, rendering everyday objects with natural plain and watercolor bring Zen ‘squatness" to the viewer. VOCA first Prize awarded Soya Asaeuse of oil paint to capture color changes of water vapor. She brings viewer not only visual perception but also real temperature, humidity, odor and sound. Kumi Machida stack repeatedly millions of thin line with ink and mineral pigments as a spider weaves silk and forging gender ambiguous body, simple blank screen with no temperature. Her images bring a feeling of alienated and hidden huge tension and depth. Who is described as "toxic", she lead the viewers undergo waves of strange atmosphere.

Artists have a unique talent when talking about synesthesia. They are eager to expose the unique hidden sensory experience in the visual representation. Implicit synesthetes as we are can also feel enlarged interwoven sensory impact through five senses. Aug. 2 (Sat.) follow traction of details, AKI Gallery leads your senses down the line, with the "eye of heart" to experience the most delicate feelings!
